2000
FIRA Robot World Cup Australia was held in Australia, in three
venues in Rockhampton, Gladstone, and Queensland from Sept.
18 to 24, 2000, along with the Summer Olympics. There was a
workshop held before the competition and all teams was required
to submit and present papers on their robots and schemes for
sharing of intelligent system expertise.
Team participation in finding solutions to FIRA's Benchmark
problems for robot soccer was encouraged, and was a feature
of the 2000 FIRA Cup.
