[What’s Hot ]Change of Regulations

1. Mandatory Paper Submission and Registration

Every year, FIRA Robot World Cup is held in conjunction with FIRA Congress. To enhance the scientific research activities, FIRA Executive Members have agreed to make it compulsory to have at least 1 paper submission and registration by one of the members from a team. The due date for paper submission and registration is August 15, 2004. For more information,
click FIRA Cup / FIRA Congress

2. Participation Open to Everybody

In 2003, only 3 teams were allowed from each country to take part in FIRA Cup. The 2004 FIRA Cup Organizing Committee has suggested the idea of open participation and it was widely accepted. In case there’s a nation-wide or continental-wide competition authorized by FIRA, the teams will need to take part at least in 1 competition before joining the FIRA Robot World Cup.

3. World Ranking Starts Now!!!!!

It is agreed to introduce world ranking for the Middle League MiroSot (5:5) and Middle League SimuroSot (5:5) teams according to the following:
  - Grade all the competitions authorized by FIRA
  - Participating teams will get points from the competition results
  - HQ will assess the points and announce the world best 50 teams list once in a year

The hosts of all the nation-wide / continent-wide competitions are requested to report to HQ for authorization and verification of your competition so that HQ can update it on the FIRA Calendar.
