2. Official Release of HuroSot Rules
>From 2002, the HuroSot (Humanoid Robot Soccer Tournament)
Competition will be part of the FIRA Robot World Cup. The HuroSot
competition rules have been finalised recently.
The goal of the HuroSot league is to encourage research in practical,
autonomous, highly mobile, flexible, and versatile robotic platforms.
As a benchmark problem, the goal of the HuroSot league is to develop
humanoid robots that can play soccer well against other robots or
even human opponents in the future.
To begin with this category will have a single player. FIRA encourages
teams to participate in the HuroSot category with multiple (up to 3-5)
players per team in the coming years.
In the 2002 HuroSot competition, the mobility of the Humanoid robot
is being emphasized. Therefore, high level commands may be transmitted
from the human handler to the robot.
If you are interested in making the biped robot (22 DOF) and
participating in 2002 HuroSot, please contact.
A final version of the HuroSot rules is available at the FIRA web site
.
