1. FIRA Robot World Cup Australia 2000.

The FIRA Robot World Cup 2000 was held in Australia, in two
venues in Rockhampton from Sept. 18 to 24, 2000, along with
the Summer Olympics.
Thirteen (13) teams from Australia, Canada, China, Korea,
Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan took part. Competitions
were held in MiroSot and S-MiroSot categories. A NaroSot
demonstration match was held during the inauguration.
The SimuRosot (Simulation Robot Soccer Tournament) demonstration
was organized by HIT, China.

3. Soty IV, Korea
S-MiroSot top 3 teams:
1. PowerSupply3, Korea
2. Hit-BinHua, China
3. KingGo, Korea
FIRA Benchmark Ranking:

3. Soty-IV, Korea
4. PowerSupply3, Korea

FIRA Millenium Benchmark Ranking:
1. BagYo, Philippines
2. Soty-IV, Korea
Team BagYo from the Philippines were awarded the first prize
for the Millennium Benchmark. Team Soty IV were the first team
to complete the FIRA Millennium benchmark in competition by
completing two circuits and is awarded the FIRA certificate of
excellence.
FIRA will give away the Technology Innovation Award to the Ottawa
Univ., Canada team for the innovative ideas in MiroSot.

The FIRA Robot World Cup China 2001 will be held at Science Museum
in Beijing on August 1-5, 2001. For further details please
contact, Prof. Hong Bingrong.
3. MiroSot friednship Matches in the Philippens - July 12, 2000.
The Philippines and Korean, MiroSot friendship game on July
12, was one of the highlights of the opening rites of the 42nd
National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) at the Philippine
Trade and Training Center (PTTC) along Roxas Boulevard in Manila.
The Philippine team was composed of the faculty and students of
the De La Salle University (DLSU) and University of the
Philippines (UP).
The Korean team was from the Korean Advanced Institute of Science
and Technology (KAIST).
4. China robot soccer championship.
The China robot soccer championship was held at Science Museum in
Beijing between Sept. 1-3, 2000. 15 university teams participated
in the champion-ship. The first winner was the team Hit-BinHua
from Harbin Institute of Technology.
