10th FIRA RoboWorld Cup Singapore 2005 Result
 As you know, The 10th FIRA RoboWorld Cup was held in Orchard Hotel, Singapore from 12 to 14 December 2005.This year there were 83 teams from 16 countries over the world, participating in 8 categories of RoboSoccer. During the 3 days of spectacular competition, audiences were amazed by the latest humanoid robotic technology in HuroSot game. Also, the breath taking MiroSot 11 against 11 games wiped out audiences'mind by its unique velocity and unreal ingenuity that wouldn't even let the audience to blink their eyes. [more]

The 7th International Robot Olympiad 2005 result
The 7th International Robot Olympiad (IRO) 2005 was held at KINTEX, Ilsan, Korea commenced from October 26 to 30 October, 2005.
 This IRO 2005 was co-organized by Korea Science Foundation, Korean Agency for Technology and Standards, IROC. The event was also sponsored by various government organizations in Korea including Ministry of Science & Technology, Ministry of Information and Communication, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy.
A total of 350 participants in 136 teams from 7 nations participated in this event. During IRO 2005, The 2nd International Symposium on Robotics Education also took place at the same venue.
Like previous year, the passion toward the games overheated the venue. This year participants were allowed to take the theoretical test even if they are not competed at the creativity category.

FIRA World Cups will be?
At the annual FIRA Executive Committee Meeting on the 13th of December, the committee members have decided the hosting cities for year 2007 and 2008. In 2007 FIRA World Cup will be held in San Francisco, USA along with the ROBOGAMES. And FIRA World Cup 2008 will be held in Qingdao, China along with THE Beijing Olympic Games. As we all know by now, 2006 FIRA World Cup is going to be in Dorutmund, Germany from 30th June to 3rd July. The FIFA Semi-final in the same city on the 4th July! [more] |

Also at the IROC meeting the members of the committee agreed that the 8th International Robot Olympiad 2006 will be held in Gold Coast, Australia. More details on the next IRO will be notified soon. |
