* Purpose and Scope
=============================================================

2002 FIRA Robot World Cup Korea (2002 FIRA Cup) will be held in
FIFA World Cup cities from May 23 to 29, 2002 one week before
the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan.

The 2002 FIRA Cup has been officially selected as one of the
cultural events by the 2002 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee.
FIRA Cup is the one and only scientific event among the different
cultural events in Korea at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

Along with the 2002 FIRA Cup, 2002 FIRA Robot World Congress
will also take place.

2002 FIRA Robot World Congress will take place from May 26
to 29, 2002. The 2002 FIRA Congress will provide a platform for
presenting the technical aspects of robotics in general. The
Congress will contribute the development of robotics in the
areas of entertainment/education/service/field/personal robots.
