[Informatik 2002] IT 2002 - 32nd annual conference held by the German Informatics society (GI) will be held in Dortmund, Germany, from Sept. 30 - Oct. 3, 2002.
The GI Society is approximately 22,000 members come from all areas of information technology, be it teaching, studies, application and research or industry. 335 companies are coorporated GI members. GI is also actively involved in politics, for example where new legislation affecting research, education and technology are concerned.
In conjunction with this conference, an international robot-soccer tournament is being organized with three Asian teams and three European teams including winners of Middle League MiroSot
in 2002 and 2001 FIRA Robot World Cup. Participation in this tournament is by invitation only.
