This year's party is over, and for those who could not make it to the competitions in Vienna, you can look forward to the forthcoming competitions in Korea. We look forward to meeting you all again at the 2004 FIRA Cup at Busan (November 11~14, 2004), Korea.

The Global Digital Cities Network (GDCN) event was held at the Gold Coast, Australia, from September 22 to 24, 2003. The GDCN convention is an annual event, which brings together City Mayors, IT Developers and University Academics from 11 cities in various countries. Small League MiroSot and Middle League SimuroSot took place at this special event.
[ASEAN Project in the works]

Two researchers from each of the 10 ASEAN Countries are nominated for the ASEAN Multi-robot cooperation project. The representatives will be educated on the Multi-Robot Cooperation System with a 5 vs.5 Middle League MiroSot setup during November 5~9 at KAIST, Korea. A robot soccer tournament is planned for the ASEAN country teams on the last day of the project.

Robot Olympiad is an event of science, technology and education, offering promising youngsters an opportunity to expand their horizons by designing and building robot models. This year, around 66 teams with a total number of 300 students selected by National competition from 12 countries will participate at this event. The 1st Robotics Education Symposium also takes place as a Sub event of IRO 2003.
