The FIRA-ISI Robot Soccer Workshop and Championship took place
at the American University in Dubai from March 17 to 21, 2001
in conjunction with the International NAISO Congress on
INFORMATION SCIENCE INNOVATIONS (General Chair: Milad Fares Sebaaly).
Eight (8) teams from Austria, Germany, Korea, Philippines, Poland,
Singapore, Taiwan, and U.K. participated.

7. Middle League (5 a side) MiroSot Competition
The 5 a side MiroSot competition will be introduced at the FIRA Cup
2001 in Beijing. The 5 a side MiroSot will be named as "the Middle
League MiroSot", and the 3 a side MiroSot will be known as
"the Small League MiroSot" from 2001 onwards.

8. SimuroSot - The Middle League (5 a side) Simulation platform
FIRA is glad to announce the Simulation version of the Middle League
MiroSot, the SimuroSot platform. We want you to join this category
with no hardware. Only thing that you need is a computer and your
enthusiasm. It consists of a server which has soccer game environments
(playground, robots, score board, etc.) and two client programs
which have a game strategy and let you know the result with 2D color
graphic. You can make your own strategy which has same structure with
the MiroSot and compete with other team's strategy. 5 vs. 5 and
11 vs. 11 SimuroSot competition will take place at the FIRA Cup 2001.
